Fearless Football Predictions - Week 8

Now that you've had a few hours to digest our NASCAR predictions, it's time to take a look at each of the fantasy football matchups in the People's League. Last week's forecasts went 4-1, raising the season record to 20-15.

People's Pigskin vs. nuckin' futs. This could be the matchup of the week. Fortunately, the Internet's favorite fantasy football team has the ultimate trump card: Peyton Manning playing at home on Monday night against a Houston Texans team that's vulnerable against the pass. Who cares if Manning may be throwing to his father by the fourth quarter? He can deliver a win for the Pigskin.

Fighting Amish vs. Feely Her Up ... Frank Gore may be salivating at the chance to face a Denver Broncos defense that just turned Darren McFadden into a fantasy football legend, but the Amish still have Matt Schaub throwing to Andre Johnson and company on Monday night. Schaub will prove the difference in a close Amish win.

Chicago VinSethBears vs. NFL2K10 RedZone. The only thing Philip Rivers is not piling up this season is wins. He's second among quarterbacks with an average of 18.1 points a game, and he should continue his high-scoring ways this week. Look for the RedZone to end its losing streak this week.

t-bay cuervonatersXXL vs. Team z. Yes, Sam Bradford makes mistakes. Rookie quarterbacks always do. (OK, almost always.) But he also has double-digit fantasy scores in 5 of his 7 games this season, and he's been held without a touchdown only once. He'll get enough points for the Cuervonaters to pull off the upset.

Hudson Valley Hawks vs. cowboys romero. Who may be the only person (other than Bill Belichick) happy to hear all the Brett Favre injury talk? Adrian Peterson, who is slowly taking over the Minnesota Vikings offense again. Look for Peterson to carry the load for his team and for the victorious Hawks.

We'll be back with the results.
