Fearless NASCAR Predictions - Kansas

Now that you've had a chance to digest our fantasy football predictions for this week, it's time to offer a look at which NASCAR drivers will finish in the top 10 at Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway. Last week's forecasts went 5-5, leaving us with a season record of 129-141.

1. Jimmie Johnson. Until further notice.

2. Joey Logano. He must be comfortable with this track, having won the Nationwide race on Saturday.

3. Denny Hamlin. He survived last week's hoopla and remains at the top of the Chase points list.

4 and 5. Kurt and Kyle Busch. Of course, if someone does take a shot at Hamlin, the Busch brothers will be in position to challenge Johnson for the title. And both of them have the teams that can get it done.

6. Kasey Kahne. This driver may not be in the Chase, but he does have the pole.

7. Tony Stewart. Simply because the term "defending race champion" has to mean something.

8. Ryan Newman. Stewart's teammate has quietly finished in the top 10 in four of the last five races.

9. Jeff Gordon. Among this year's Chase drivers, Gordon has the best average finish at Kansas (8.9).

10. Paul Menard. This week's medium to long shot made things easy for us by qualifying on the front row along with Hamlin.

We're still taking votes on the lineup for the People's Pigskin for this week's matchup against t-bay cuervonatersXXL. Please remember to vote. We'll be back with the poll results.
