Pick the People's Team - Week 1

OK, it's time for you, the Internet, to decide who should start for the People's Pigskin in Week 1. Our opponent for week 1 is Ravens Fan T Sizzle. We have no players in Thursday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans, so we have until Sunday morning to pick a lineup. Here are the choices:

Quarterback. Kurt Warner, the ageless one, led his team to the Super Bowl last season. He has Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin at his disposal. And he's facing a 49ers team that didn't set the world on fire last season or this preseason. If we switch, it's to Trent Edwards of the Buffalo Bills.

Running back. Our current starters are Matt Forte, one of the hottest names in fantasy football, and Steve Slaton, who came in out of nowhere in his rookie year and should now be more comfortable with the Houston Texans offense. If they come out, it's for Jamal Lewis and Chris "Beanie" Wells.

Wide receiver. Our starters are Greg Jennings, the primary receiving threat for the Green Bay Packers, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who's inheriting the primary job by default in Seattle. If they come out, it's for Chad Ochocinco and Josh Morgan.

Flex position. This one is a true dilemma. We currently have Derrick Ward, whose team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, can't be relying on Byron Leftwich's arm to score touchdowns. The other option is Morgan, who faces an Arizona Cardinals defense that was less than stellar last year, even in the Super Bowl.

We have Kellen Winslow at tight end, Nick Folk at kicker, and the Eagles defense/special teams. If you want to make changes there, you'll have to make suggestions about who should come in.

Here's the poll, which will close Saturday. And by the way, the snack poll will remain open until this weekend. In the meantime, feel free to ask questions.

  1. I just think that Chad Ochecinquo should be the flex if possible.
